Remember now thy Creator in the days of
thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw
nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
2.
Jesus is our example.
Luke
2:49 =
And he said unto them, How is it that ye
sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
I
Peter 2:21 =
For even hereunto were ye called: because
Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye
should follow his steps:
I
Timothy 4:12
= Let
no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers,
in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith,
in purity.
B.
GIVE HIM FIRST PLACE IN YOUR HEART
1.
The importance of the heart:
Romans
10:10 =
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Proverbs
4:23 =
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for
out of it are the issues of life.
2.
The first and most important thing in our heart should
be to please the Master.
Matthew
6:33 =
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and
his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto
you.
Colossians
3:23 =
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as
to the Lord, and not unto men;

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with
all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind,
and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
C.
NAUGHT ELSE IS WORTHY OF THE MASTERS LOVE
--
1.
We are to take up our cross and follow Christ.
Matthew
16:24 =

any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take
up his cross, and follow me.

Christ wants the church presented to him spotless
He will accept nothing less.

That he might present it to himself a glorious
church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but
that it should be holy and without blemish.

as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots
they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own
deceivings while they feast with you;
3.
The Master wants those that follow him to be more than
just vanity
Note:
Vanity is that which is void of use, empty, or
useless.
Psalms
39:5 =
Behold, thou has made my days as an handbreadth;
and mine age is as nothing before thee:
verity every man at his best state is altogether vanity.
