God's Plan:  Simple as One - Two - Three
  1. NUMBER ONE:

    1. ONE GOD.
    • Ephesians 4:6 "One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."

      1. He is a self-existent being. Psalms 90:2 "Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God."
      2. He is the creator. Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
      3. He is the only God we need. Exodus 20:3 "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

    1. ONE MAN WAS CREATED.
    • Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Genesis 2:7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

      1. One woman was created from man. Genesis 2:22-23 "And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man."
      2. From this one couple has come all nations. Acts 17:26 "And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;"
      3. By one man sin entered into the world. Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." (See Genesis 3:1-6).

    1. ONE LORD.

      NOTE: Who came as man’s redeemer. Matthew 1 :21 "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."  Ephesians 1:7 "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace."

    1. ONE SPIRIT.
    • Ephesians 4:4 "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling."

      NOTE: It was necessary for this one Spirit to come and continue the work that Jesus had begun. John 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
      (John 15:26)       "But when The Comforter is come, who I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:" (John 16:13) "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come."

    1. ONE FAITH WAS GIVEN FOR MAN TO EMBRACE.
      1. This was the product of one Gospel. Romans 1:16 ‘For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; …"
      2. Which Gospel was not to be perverted (Galatians 1:8-9).
      3. The believers would then all be able to "speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment"
        I Corinthians 1:10.

    1. ONE BAPTISM WAS GIVEN FOR MAN TO OBEY.
    • Mark 16:15-16 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."  Romans 6:3-4 "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

    1. ONE BODY (CHURCH) WAS ESTABLISHED TO WHICH MAN MAY BE ADDED.
    • Ephesians 4:4 "There is one body, …"
    • Ephesians 1:22-23 "And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all thing to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all."

      1. Christ built it. Matthew 16:18 "And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
      2. Christ adds to it. Acts 2:47 "… And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved."

    1. ONE HOPE.
    • Ephesians 4:4 "…Even as ye are called in one hope of your calling."
    • Hebrews 6:19 "Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;"

  2. NUMBER TWO:

    1. MAN IS TWO IN ONE – A DUAL BEING:

      1. Dust and Spirit:
      • Ecclesiastes 12:7 "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
      1. Inner and outer man:
      • II Corinthians 4:16 "For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day."
      1. Earthly house and spiritual house:
      • II Corinthians 5:1 "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."

        COMMENT: What was written in James 2:26 "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."

    2. GOD’S PLAN CALLS FOR TWO BIRTHS – PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL:
    • John 3:3-5 "Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemas saith unto him, how can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

    1. THE BIBLE SPEAKS OF TWO DEATHS – PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL:
    • Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."
    • Revelation 20:14-15 "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

      COMMENTS:

      • He that is born twice (physical and spiritual) and remains faithful will die but once:
        John 8:51 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, if a man keep my sayings, he shall never see death."
        Revelation 2:10 "Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life."
      • He that is born only once will die twice: The physical death (Hebrews 9:27); and the spiritual death of the "lake of fire" (Revelation 20:14-15).

  3. NUMBER THREE:
    (The plan of God is the work of three very important divine beings).

    1. GOD:
      1. Designer and Creator: Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
      2. Benefactor: James 1:27 "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."

    2. CHRIST:
      1. Redeemer: Ephesians 1:7 "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace."
      2. Lawgiver: Hebrews 1:1-2 "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds."
      3. Example: I Peter 2:21 "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:"

    3. HOLY SPIRIT:
      1. Comforter and teacher: John 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 15:26 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me."
      2. Guide: John 16:13 "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." Romans 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."

  4. CONCLUSION:

    1. YES, GOD’S PLAN IS AS SIMPLE AS 1-2-3.

    2. ONE DOES NOT NEED TO BE AN EXPERT IN HIGHER MATHEMATICS OR EDUCATION TO FOLLOW THE SIMPLE PLAN OF GOD.

    3. THE SIMPLE PLAN IS ONE THAT EVEN CHILDREN CAN FOLLOW:
      Matthew 19:14       "But Jesus said, suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

    4. WHAT IS YOUR EXCUSE?
