Man Should Stay Out Of God's Business
I.
INTRODUCTION:
A.
SCRIPTURE READING:
II.
DISCUSSION:
A.
REGARDING GODS SON:
1.
It was Gods business to send Him.
John
3:16-17 =
For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn
the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Romans
5:8 =
But God commendeth his love toward us,
in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
2.
It is mans business to accept and believe His
Son.
John
8:24
= I
said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in
your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die
in your sins.
John
12:48 =
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not
my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have
spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
John
6:66-68 =
From that time many of his disciples went
back, and walked no more with him.
Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall
we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
B.
REGARDING THE BIBLE:
1.
It was Gods business through the Holy Spirit
to give man the
Bible.
2
Peter 1:21 =
For the prophecy came not in old time by
the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved
by the Holy Ghost.
John
14:26 =
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all
things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever
I have said unto you.
John
15:26 =
But when the Comforter is come, whom I
will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth,
which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John
16:13 =
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is
come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak
of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
and he will shew you things to come.
2.
It is mans business to accept and believe the
Bible and follow it --
not change it.
C.
REGARDING THE
PLAN OF SALVATION:
1.
It Gods
business to give man His plan of salvation by the Holy Spirit
which was:
a.
To hear --
Romans
10:13-14 =
For whosoever shall call upon the name
of the Lord shall be saved.
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not
believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have
not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
b.
To believe --
Hebrews
11:6 =
But without faith it is impossible to please
him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and
that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
c.
To repent --
Luke
13:3 =
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent,
ye shall all likewise perish.
d.
To confess --
Matthew
10:32 =
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before
men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in
heaven.
e.
To be baptized
--
Acts
2:38 =
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and
be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for
the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the
Holy Ghost.
2.
It is mans business to obey the Holy Spirit given
plan.
Hebrews
2:3 =
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great
salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord,
and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
1
Peter 4:17 =
For the time is come that judgment must
begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what
shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
2
Thessalonians 1:8-9
= In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know
not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the
presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
Acts
2:40 =
And with many other words did he testify
and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
D.
REGARDING THE SINS OF MAN:
1.
It is Gods business to forgive mans sins.
Matthew
6:12 =
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive
our debtors.
Acts
8:22 =
Repent therefore of this thy wickedness,
and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be
forgiven thee.
2.
God has not given man the business of remitting sins.
a.
How then do we understand,
John
20:23 =
Whosoever sins ye remit, they are remitted
unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
b.
Comment:
This was stated by the Lord when He had breathed on
his apostles and said to them:
Receive ye the Holy Ghost
[John
20:22]. The Holy Ghost would give unto them the conditions on which
mans sins would be forgiven.
There are no other conditions by which man can forgive
mans sins.
c.
It is mans business to repent and it is Gods
business to forgive. {Acts
8:22}
E.
REGARDING THE CHURCH:
1.
It was Gods business to give the blueprint of
the church as He wanted it built.
Matthew
16:18 =
And I say also unto thee, That thou art
Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the
gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Acts
20:28 =
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and
to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made
you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased
with his own blood.
2.
It is mans business to comply with the Lords
blueprint:
a.
That the Church would
be according to Gods way.
Acts
2:40-42 =
And with many other words did he testify
and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized:
and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand
souls. And they
continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship,
and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."
Acts
2: 47 = "Praising
God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added
to the church daily such as should be saved.
b.
It was not mans business to build a church of
his own.
Matthew
15:13-14 =
But he answered and said, Every plant,
which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted
up. Let them
alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind
lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
F.
REGARDING ADMISSION TO THE CHURCH:
1.
It is the Lords to say who will be a part of
the church.
a.
Acts
2:47 =
Praising God, and having favour with all
the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as
should be saved.
b.
These will be those that have complied with and done
what the Lord has said.
Luke
6:46 =And
why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I
say?
2.
It is not mans business to open or to close the
doors of the Church as he so desires.
a.
The keys to the Church were given to the apostles.
Matthew
16:19 =
And I will give unto thee the keys of the
kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth
shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose
on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
Matthew
18:18 = "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever
ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever
ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
b.
The doors were opened on the day of Pentecost in Acts
chapter 2.
c.
The doors have been opened ever since then.
3.
It is mans business to preach only the Lords
terms of admission into the church.
Any other terms or conditions will bring forth a curse
from God.
G.
REGARDING JUDGING MAN.
1.
It is Gods business to judge man.
John
5:30 =
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I
hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not
mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent
me. [See
also Matthew
25:31-46]
2.
It is mans business
to preach the gospel as God gave it.
Mark
16:15-16 =
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the
world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that
believeth not shall be damned.
Romans
1:16 =
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:
for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that
believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
1
Corinthians 9:16
= For
though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for
necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach
not the gospel!
Galatians
1:8-9 =
But though we, or an angel from heaven,
preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached
unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach
any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let
him be accursed.
3.
It is mans business to follow the gospel as God
gave it for it will be the instrument of judgment.
John
12:48-50 =
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not
my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have
spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which
sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and
what I should speak.
And I know that his commandment is life everlasting:
whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto
me, so I speak.
Comment:
For man to do anything else is not judging, but
plain disobeying God.
