establish his kingdom. [13] He shall build an house for
my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
[14] I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit
iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the
stripes of the children of men: [15] But my mercy shall
not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away
before thee. [16] And thine house and thy kingdom shall
be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established
for ever."

it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth
even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this."

shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."

of heaven is greater than he. [12] And from the days of
John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence,
and the violent take it by force. [13] For all the prophets and
the law prophesied until John. [14] And if ye will receive
it, this is Elias, which was for to come."
Mark
1:2-3 = "As it is written in the prophets,

thy way before thee. [3] The voice of one crying in the
wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight."

words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in

because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;

year of the Lord."

and an alien unto my mother's children."

mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon
him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. [2]
He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard
in the street. [3] A bruised reed shall he not break,
and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth
judgment unto truth. [4] He shall not fail nor be discouraged,
till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait
for his law."
Matthew
12:18-21 = "Behold my servant, whom I have
chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put
my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
[19] He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear
his voice in the streets. [20] A bruised reed shall he
not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send
forth judgment unto victory. [21] And in his name shall
the Gentiles trust."
13. Christ would confirm His message by miracles
of healing:

carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of
God, and afflicted."

spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities,
and bare our sicknesses."

Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive
not. [10] Make the heart of this people fat, and make
their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their
eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart,
and convert, and be healed."

[15] For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears
are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at
any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their
ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted,
and I should heal them."
15. Christ would be rejected by the rulers:

John
12:38-40 = "That the saying of Esaias the prophet
might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our
report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
[39] Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias

their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand
with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them."

with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made
intercession for the transgressors."
Luke
22:37 = "For I say unto you, that this that
is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned
among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an
end."

neither was any deceit in his mouth."

27:57-60 = "When the even was come, there came
a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus'
disciple: [58] He went to Pilate, and begged the body
of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
[59] And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in
a clean linen cloth, [60] And laid it in his own new tomb,
which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone
to the door of the sepulchre, and departed."

David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace
and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have

only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in
bitterness for his firstborn."

day:

nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three
days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead
the third day:"
Acts
2:25-32 = "For David speaketh concerning him,
I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right
hand, that I should not be moved: [26] Therefore did
my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh
shall rest in hope: [27] Because thou wilt not leave my
soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
[28] Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt
make me full of joy with thy countenance. [29] Men and
brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David,
that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us
unto this day. [30] Therefore being a prophet, and knowing
that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his
loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit
on his throne; [31] He seeing this before spake of the
resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither
his flesh did see corruption. [32] This Jesus hath God
raised up, whereof we all are witnesses."
Acts
13:33-35 = ""God hath fulfilled the same
unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again;
as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this
day have I begotten thee. [34] And as concerning that
he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption,
he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.
[35] Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt
not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption."
Psalms
16:10-11 = "For thou wilt not leave my soul
in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."

to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three
days and three nights."
NOTE:
1. Jesus himself realized that in his death
he was fulfilling the Scripture
Matthew
26:54-56 = "But how then shall the scriptures
be fulfilled, that thus it must be? [55] In that same
hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against
a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with
you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me. [56]
But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets
might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and
fled."
2. The complete story of the
life of Christ was told hundreds of years before he was born.
This leads us to believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of
the living God and that the Testaments, Old and New, are Gods
verbally inspired immovable, perfect word, a lamp to our feet,
and a light to our
Pathway (Psalms
119:105).
3. Christ is now crowned Lord
of Lords and King of Kings (Revelation
17:14; Revelation19:16).
He is seated on Davids throne "and there was given
him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations,
and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting
dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which
shall not be destroyed" (Daniel
7:14).
