1. WE SAY: "It’s impossible".

GOD SAYS: All things are possible. Luke 18:27 = "And he said, the things which are impossible with men are possible with God".

2. WE SAY: "I’m too tired".

GOD SAYS: I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28-30 = "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light".

3. WE SAY: "No body really loves me."

GOD SAYS: I love you. John 3:16 = "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 13:34 = "A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another,"

4. WE SAY; "I can’t go on."

GOD SAYS: My grace is sufficient for you. II Corinthians 12:9 = "And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

5. WE SAY: "I can’t figure things out."

GOD SAYS: I will direct your steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 = "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart: and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

6. WE SAY: "I can’t do it."

GOD SAYS: You can do all things. Philippians 4:13 = "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

7. WE SAY: "I am not able."

GOD SAYS: I am able. II Corinthians 9:8 = "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always, having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:"

8. WE SAYS: "It’s not worth it."

GOD SAYS: It will be worth it. Romans 8:28 = "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

9. WE SAY: "I can’t forgive myself."

GOD SAYS: I forgive you. I John 1:9 = "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleans us from all unrighteousness." Romans 8:1 = "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

10. WE SAY: "I can’t manage."

GOD SAYS: I will supply all your needs. Philippians 4:19 = "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

11. WE SAY: "I’m afraid."

GOD SAYS: I have not given you a spirit of fear. II Timothy 1:7 = "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind,"

12. WE SAY: "I’m always worried and frustrated."

GOD SAYS: Cast all you cares on Me. I Peter 5:7 = "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

13. WE SAY: "I don‘t have enough faith."

GOD SAYS: I’ve given everyone a measure of faith. Romans 12:3 = "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith."

14. WE SAY: "I’m not smart enough."

GOD SAYS: I give you wisdom. I Corinthians 1:30 = "But of him are we in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:"

15. WE SAY: "I feel alone."

GOD SAYS: I will never leave you or forsake you. Hebrews 13:5 = "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for her hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

 

CONCLUSION:

1. Do you have a negative or a positive outlook?
   
2. The failure, or success, of the Church depends whether we are negative or positive.
   
3. Do you offer negatives as a means of fortifying your excuses for Christian service?
   
4. If you are full of negatives, your Christian life may be in jeopardy.
   
5. Let us manifest the positive outlook of the apostle Paul:

Philippians 4:13 = "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Philippians 3:8-16 (ASV) = "Yea verily, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but refuse, that I may gain Christ, and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, even that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith: that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming confirmed unto his death; if by any means I may attain unto the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect: but I press on, if so be that I may lay hold on that for which also I was laid hold on by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself yet to have laid hold: but one thing I do, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye are otherwise minded, this also shall God reveal unto you: only, whereunto we have attained, by that same rule let us walk."
